Qalp: Dua & Reflection — Privacy Policy

1. Information You Provide Directly

If you create an account (via email or Apple Sign-In), we collect your email address and a display name.

• User-Generated Content: Messages and queries you submit to the AI companion feature, custom dhikr presets, and saved duas or hadiths.

2. Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Pages and features visited within the App, session duration, and interaction patterns (collected in aggregate, non-personally identifiable form).
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version — used solely for debugging and improving performance.
• Crash Reports: Anonymous crash logs to help us identify and fix bugs.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your precise GPS/location data beyond what is required for the Qibla compass feature, and this data is processed entirely on-device and never transmitted to our servers.
• We do not collect microphone, camera, or contacts data.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the App.
• Provide personalized AI dua and reflection responses via our AI companion.
• Process and manage your subscription through Apple's in-app purchase system.
• Send you relevant notifications (only if you grant permission).
• Respond to your support requests.
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to enhance the user experience.
• Comply with legal obligations.

5. AI Companion Feature

The AI companion feature uses your submitted queries to generate contextually relevant dua, hadith, and reflection responses. Please be aware:

• Your messages are processed by our backend AI service (powered by OpenAI and Supabase).
• Messages may be stored temporarily to provide conversation continuity within a session.
• We do not use your personal spiritual content to train AI models or share it with third parties beyond what is necessary for providing the service.
• Do not share sensitive personal or financial information through the AI chat.

6. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored using Supabase (cloud database), hosted on secure infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
• Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and are governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
• We implement industry-standard security measures (TLS/SSL encryption, access controls) to protect your data.
• While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Apple Sign-In — Authentication
• Apple In-App Purchase — Subscription management
• Supabase — Backend database and authentication
• OpenAI — AI response generation
• Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — Daily reminders and notifications

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Opt-Out of Notifications: Disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings.
• Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

11. International Users

The App is operated from Turkey. If you access the App from outside Turkey, your information may be transferred to and processed in Turkey or other countries. By using the App, you consent to such transfer.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and sending a notification via the App (if applicable).

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
